Job Description
- Creation of flower beds or gardens, which add color, texture and visual appeal to the property. The overall design may feature seasonal blooms, perennial plants, trees and shrubs.
- Prepare planting beds by removing debris, weeds, existing material, and excess soil as needed.
- Water, prune, stake, and provide basic care for newly installed plant material.
- Weed landscape beds to maintain a clean appearance.
- Trim and shape shrubs, bushes and ornamental plants,
- Assist with seasonal landscape cleanups.
- Load, unload, move, and organize plants, soil, mulch, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Safely operate hand tools and basic landscape equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each workday.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers when appropriate.
- Report equipment issues, material needs, job site concerns, or safety hazards promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of plant materials, planting techniques, and landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions, work cooperatively with a crew, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required, depending on company needs.
- Ability to communicate respectfully with coworkers, supervisors, and customers. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Comfortable with working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, dirt, and other seasonal conditions.
- May require overtime, early starts, weekends, or schedule changes based on weather, project deadlines, and seasonal demand.
- Valid driver's license.
