OPERATIONS MANAGER M&M

M&M is a local, family owned and operated business that provides interior building materials to residential and commercial contractors. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to direct the activities of our drivers and warehouse. We offer good pay and treat our employees like family. The Operations Manager duties include;RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with all local, OSHA, DOT and EPA laws.
- Oversee and/ or conduct all safety training and maintain proper record keeping.
- Hire, train, and evaluate CDL and non-CDL drivers.
- Assist with dispatching.
- Perform accident investigations.
- Visit job sites to troubleshoot or assist drivers as needed.
- Maintain truck fleet and forklifts in most cost effective manner.
- Manage all facility needs including building maintenance and security.
- Monitor inventory levels with purchasing manager and forklift operator to ensure business demands are met.
- Conduct inventory audits.
- Assist with counter sales and phone calls as needed.
- Work with the sales department to develop standard operating procedures to ensure customers are receiving the highest level of service possible while keeping cost at a competitive level.
- Produce reports as required.
- Other duties assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- DOT medical card.
- Valid operators license in good standing.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Forklift certification.
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate clearly, solve problems, manage conflict, and plan for critical events.
- Minimum 2 years experience in management.
PREFERRED
- Experience in construction and transportation industry.
- Class A or B CDL license.
- Boom or crane experience.
