Job Description
- Lead and work alongside a landscaping crew
- Drive company truck and trailer to customer properties
- Safely operate commercial zero-turn lawn mowers
- Operate weed whackers/string trimmers, backpack blowers, and other landscaping equipment
- Make sure lawns are cut, trimmed, edged, and blown off properly
- Follow the assigned daily route and keep the crew moving efficiently
- Make sure all equipment is accounted for before leaving every property
- Properly load and secure mowers, trimmers, blowers, gas cans, tools, and other equipment
- Keep truck and trailer clean and organized
- Check fuel, mixed gas, oil, trimmer line, and other supplies needed for the workday
- Report damaged, broken, or missing equipment immediately
- Help prevent equipment from being lost or left behind
- Communicate with the owner regarding route progress, customer concerns, equipment issues, or unexpected problems
- Maintain professional behavior around customers and customer properties
- Help train and direct other crew members
- Perform lawn maintenance and general landscaping work when needed
- Complete an end-of-day equipment and trailer check Qualifications
- Previous professional landscaping or lawn maintenance experience required
- Crew leader, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience operating a commercial zero-turn mower
- Experience using commercial weed whackers/string trimmers and backpack blowers
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be comfortable driving a pickup truck and trailer
- Must be able to safely back up and maneuver a trailer
- Must be dependable and show up on time
- Must be able to work early mornings and full landscaping days
- Must be physically capable of performing landscaping work outdoors
- Must be organized and able to keep track of tools and equipment
- Must be able to follow instructions while also working independently
- Must have good judgment and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- experience with hardscaping , handling heavy machinery, elite in building patios, retaining walls, and decks Pay Starting pay is approximately $175- 200 per day, depending on experience.
