1-800-STRIPER of NW Pittsburgh is a locally owned, small business in Cranberry Township, PA serving Western PA and the Greater Pittsburgh area. Our company is the leading provider of parking lot striping in the area, servicing small and large clients. If you enjoy hard work and being rewarded for it -- this is for you. The Crew Leader operates a variety of equipment used in the application and maintenance of parking lots and other large site jobs. The right candidate will have full responsibly for crew productivity and be a primary equipment operator and driver of a medium duty box truck and line striping equipment. This position is for part-time with the opportunity for full-time conversion. Flexible schedule, but required to be available nights and weekends. Must be a team player, have attention to detail, and have a positive attitude. Significant opportunities for growth. Commercial Driver or Equipment Operator experience is desirable, a clean driver's license is mandatory. Background check & references required. This is a seasonal position. Our main season runs from April 1st to December 1st. Hours may be available during the off-season, as warranted. You will not have a set schedule. This is not a 8-5 job. Work schedule varies from daytime, evenings, nights, & weekends. Weekend work is required and typical. Typical days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., During peak season overtime is available and expected. Occasional overnight travel is required. All candidates are required to work a minimum of 3 paid 'trial jobs' as part of the final interview process to ensure alignment.
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent; bachelors degree preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Painting, logistics, construction, or similar experience Ability to work overtime as needed and prioritize work Mechanically inclined Valid driver's license and reliable transportation when traveling to Cranberry Township, PA from home or office. Local travel is required to job locations. Seasonal employment experience and/or outdoor work experience (preferred) Positive attitude & willingness to learn
Responsibilities:
Paint parking lots! Straight lines required. Performs with any & all tasks for pavement marking projects, including, but not limited to measuring, marking lines, cleaning equipment/stencils, loading/unloading the truck, prepping paint, wheel stop installation, sign/bollard installation, etc. Properly follows company safety procedures. Addresses problems or brings them to the attention of the Operations Manager/Management Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings. Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the Operations Manager; cleans equipment. Assists in training lower-level employees performing the maintenance and repair duties as required or assigned. Administer technology software. Manage truck inventory.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds and occasionally push or move items up to 350 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type & Hours:
We are hiring for part-time with the opportunity for full-time conversation. Hiring for both daytime shift & evenings, as we have a variety of different projects with varying start times, includes weekdays & weekends. Flexible scheduling availability is required. During peak season, overtime is anticipated. Occasional overnight projects occur with travel expenses paid. Background check & valid DL required. Reliable and secure phone and email are required. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to a variety of temperature conditions at job sites. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
