Job Description

Sky Chefs is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee day-to-day fleet and driver operations supporting airline catering services. In this on-site role, you will plan and optimize delivery routes, ensure accurate and on-time departures to the airport, and uphold strict aviation safety, security, and food-handling standards. You will lead and schedule drivers and dispatch staff, monitor vehicle readiness, track KPIs, and resolve operational issues in real time. Partnering with kitchen, warehouse, and ramp teams, you will help maintain a safe, efficient, and service-focused operation in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospitality environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily transportation operations for inflight catering deliveries to airline customers Plan and optimize driver routes to meet strict airline schedules and on-time performance goals Monitor fleet readiness, vehicle safety, and compliance with aviation security and food safety standards Coordinate closely with kitchen, warehouse, and ramp teams to ensure accurate and timely order loading Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, service quality, and cost efficiency, and implement process improvements Train, schedule, and coach drivers and dispatch staff, promoting a safety-first, service-focused culture Resolve operational issues, delays, and customer complaints quickly and effectively Ensure accurate documentation, logs, and reports for audits and regulatory compliance Collaborate with leadership on staffing, equipment needs, and continuous improvement projects Support implementation of new systems, procedures, and technology to improve logistics performance Required Skills Transportation operations management Route planning and optimization Fleet and vehicle safety oversight People leadership and team supervision Knowledge of DOT and transportation regulations Aviation or airport ramp operations familiarity Food safety and HACCP awareness Dispatch and routing software proficiency Data analysis and KPI tracking Incident and issue resolution
