Job Description:
Express Marine, Inc., a premier tug and barge transporter of dry bulk cargos along the Atlantic, Gulf Coast, and Caribbean, is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Vessel Coordinator . This is an opportunity for a skilled and driven professional to join our team and support the daily operations of EMI's fleet of ATBs, tugs, and barges. This role completes vessel status reports, vendor scheduling, crew scheduling, and safety reporting. The vessel coordinator reports to the operations manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete vessel status reports and vessel movement logs. Plan and book crew travel and record crew documents. Interface with travel vendors and track travel spending. Collaborate with departments to find efficiencies. Utilize Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) proficiently for reporting and communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a maritime academy with 5+ years of experience in the maritime industry(preferred). Valid driver's license, TWIC card, and ability to pass a background check. Valid Merchant Marine Document (preferred). Availability for travel as required to support fleet and customer needs.
Experience:
Background in tug and barge operations, cargo transport, regulatory compliance, and personnel management.
Working Conditions:
This role includes office and outdoor work environments to support fleet and customer requirements.
