Job Description
The Fleet Assistant position will be an assistant to the Fleet Manager at Integrity EMS and will have the following duties: Tracking/ordering inventory for fleet maintance and repair. Moving trucks between the shop and the station. Running for parts and other errands to assist the Fleet Manager. Cleaning trucks when crews have not had time on shift. Cleaning the interior of each truck once a week. Safety monitoring using the dashcam system; overspeed alerts, fast starts, hard breaking, etc and then notifying the crews. Making sure our wash trailer has enough car wash soap, bleach, ensure the sprayer is working, the tank has enough water, and filling the tank when needed. Keep inventory of all fleet supplies. Report to the fleet manager when supplies get low. Keep a running log of preventative maintenance for each truck and coordinate with the Fleet Manager for service. Daily walk through before crews arrive- note any new damage, soft tires, dirty trucks, etc. Advising dispatch which trucks need to be cleaned if crews have time. Run cot batteries, chargers, and various equipment that a crew may need brought to them. This is not an exhaustive list, but anything else added would be related to helping the Fleet Manager, crews or dispatch with daily operational needs.
