We are seeking an experienced Driver Manager/ Shop Supervisor to support daily operations at our San Antonio terminal. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing drivers and yard employees, coordinating daily transportation activity, supporting customers, maintaining operational records, and helping ensure that safety and service expectations are consistently met. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, terminal operations, fleet operations, or supply chain management and is comfortable working directly with drivers, employees, and customers. What You'll Do Supervise and monitor the daily performance of drivers and yard employees Coordinate and distribute driver assignments, paperwork, and operational information Help ensure loads, vehicles, and drivers are properly scheduled and prepared Monitor daily transportation and terminal activity to keep operations running efficiently Maintain accurate records related to transportation activity, driver files, and customer interactions Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and respond to service issues or concerns Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, employees, and customers Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal safety requirements Assist with employee training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary recommendations Support hiring needs and provide recommendations regarding staffing Communicate changes in company procedures, regulations, and operational requirements to employees Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, customer service, and overall terminal operations Recommend operational improvements to management Perform other duties as needed to support terminal operations What We're Looking For Previous experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, dispatch, terminal operations, fleet operations, or a related field Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Experience working directly with commercial drivers strongly preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable using computers, transportation software, databases, and Microsoft Office Ability to enforce policies while maintaining positive working relationships with employees Knowledge of DOT and transportation safety requirements is a plus Ideal Background Candidates with experience as a: Transportation Supervisor Terminal Supervisor Fleet Supervisor Dispatch Supervisor Logistics Supervisor Transportation Coordinator Operations Supervisor Trucking Operations Supervisor may be a strong fit for this position.
