Mitigation Crew Lead ServiceMaster Recovery by Restoration La Crosse | Emergency Restoration | Water, Fire & Mold About the Role ServiceMaster Recovery by Restoration is seeking an experienced and dependable Mitigation Lead to join our emergency disaster restoration team in Wausau, WI. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing mitigation crews and restoration projects involving water, fire, mold, and storm damage while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate must have previous restoration and leadership experience and be comfortable leading teams in fast-paced emergency response situations. If you are motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on leadership work, this is an excellent opportunity to grow within the restoration industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise mitigation technicians on residential and commercial restoration projects Perform water extraction, demolition, mold remediation, fire cleanup, and emergency mitigation services Ensure all work is completed according to IICRC/Clean Trust standards Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the restoration process Communicate daily with Project Managers, customers, and team members regarding project progress Train and mentor restoration technicians on company procedures and safety standards Review daily schedules and delegate tasks to crew members Use restoration technology including iPads, moisture meters, infrared meters, laser tape measures, digital cameras, and GPS systems Maintain accurate documentation, job notes, moisture readings, and customer signatures Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, vehicles, and supplies Work evenings, weekends, on-call shifts, and overnight travel when required Maintain a professional appearance and wear approved company uniforms Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and emergency response situations Follow all company safety regulations and policies Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Restoration experience is required Leadership or crew lead experience is required IICRC certifications preferred in one or more of the following: Water Damage Restoration Fire & Smoke Restoration Mold Remediation Carpet Cleaning Odor Control Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and lead a team Comfortable using restoration technology and digital tools Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, in confined spaces, and various environmental conditions Minimum Requirements Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation Proof of authorization to work in the U.S. (I-9 documentation) High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 6+ months of experience in disaster restoration, construction, or related field Proven dependability and consistent work history Ability to travel outside of the company territory at least once per year Ability to work a week-long on-call rotation Active cellphone required (monthly reimbursement offered) Why Join Us?
