Job Description
Description Fernway is looking for an experienced Fulfillment Lead to join our team. The Fulfillment Lead is responsible for the fulfillment of cannabis orders for dispensaries across the state. This includes document preparation, picking and packing, organization of marketing materials, and delivery of Fernway products to cannabis dispensaries across the market. This person is a detail-oriented, dependable self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and takes pride in getting every order out accurately and on time. They partner closely with the inventory, accounting and management teams and correspond directly with retail partners, so strong communication and customer service skills are essential. They set the tone for how the team shows up each day (collaborative, accountable and respectful) while upholding Fernway's people-first culture with a relentless focus on quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Documentation Detailed picking and packing of several orders daily, in accordance with state regulations Creation of transfer manifests and issuance of invoices within the ERP system Correspondence with retail partners regarding delivery documentation Communicating with the accounting team to ensure all requested financial documents are sent to active accounts Route Planning Creating routes based on sales team requests, and that market's turn around times. Ensuring routes are planned to get as much product out per day as possible, while balancing our customer requests. Inventory & Warehouse Support Preparing and organizing labels of inventory items within the secure vault space Assisting the inventory team with daily, weekly and monthly audits Communicating with the management team to ensure packaged cannabis inventory is accurate and up to par Maintaining a clean and organized workplace Delivery & Logistics Safe and compliant cannabis delivery as a driver of a delivery vehicle Coordinating the delivery logistics of all cannabis shipments Process Improvement & Teamwork Improving the speed and accuracy of fulfillment processes Communicating well with supervisors and other team members Displaying a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to take on additional tasks, such as web-store fulfillments, packaging, warehouse management, etc., on an as-needed basis Essential Job Functions Physically picking and packing orders on-site, Monday through Friday Executing transactions within the inventory-management system Preparing and organizing labels of inventory items within the secure vault space on-site Creating, editing and fulfilling sales orders Operating the delivery vehicle in accordance with the laws, ordinances and regulations of Arizona Requirements 21+ years old (regulatory requirement) 1+ years Cannabis experience Ability to pass cannabis regulatory pre-screenings Exceptional attention to detail Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding trainings Exceptional attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Self-starter with a positive attitude Familiarity with Metrc (preferred) Familiarity with the Google Suite (preferred) Clean driving record and enjoys spending time in the car Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to climb a ladder up and down Flexible schedule, with the ability to work overtime when necessary Ability to reliably commute and work on-site in Glendale AZ A high degree of integrity and ethical conduct, always Experience the Fernway Advantage Generous annual leave: 13 paid holidays and up to 3 weeks PTO (hourly and salaried staff alike) Comprehensive health coverage: company-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance Extra benefits: PSL, FSA, life insurance, 401(k) with match, discounted pet insurance and gym membership About Fernway Fernway is an industry-leading cannabis brand that is actively expanding into innovative product categories and new state markets.
