Job Description

Aerospace Shipping, Receiving & Material Coordinator
E.A.S. MANUFACTURING COMPANY., INC.
Camarillo, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $999 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Packing SAP Forklift Manufacturing facility experience Materials handling Picking & packing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Job Description E.A.S. Manufacturing is an AS9100-certified aerospace machine shop in Camarillo, California. We are looking for a highly organized, dependable and detail-oriented person to handle our shipping, receiving, material coordination, documentation and basic receiving inspection. This is not just a warehouse or forklift position , and it is not a desk-only position. This person helps control both the physical movement of parts and material through the shop and the paperwork that goes with them . A typical day may include receiving material, checking certifications, measuring incoming parts, making part tags, moving parts between departments, retrieving spare parts from stock, preparing shipping paperwork, boxing finished parts, or strapping a shipment to a pallet. Responsibilities Handle incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving. Verify incoming quantities, part numbers, purchase orders, certifications and accompanying paperwork. Review receiving paperwork and certifications for completeness and obvious discrepancies. Scan and correctly file certifications and other documentation in our digital filing system. Perform basic receiving inspection using calipers, micrometers, tape measures and scales. Create part tags and identification paperwork. Move parts, material and paperwork between departments throughout the building as needed. Help keep parts moving to the correct department or operation. Maintain and organize our inventory of spare parts and stocked parts. Properly identify and stock spare parts when received. Retrieve spare parts from inventory when requested. Maintain accurate spare-parts inventory records and storage locations. Prepare finished parts for shipment. Verify outgoing quantities, part numbers and required paperwork before shipment. Properly wrap, protect and box aerospace parts for shipment. Prepare larger shipments, including placing items on pallets and strapping or securing them for transportation. Create shipping labels using UPS WorldShip and FedEx online shipping systems. Prepare bills of lading and coordinate trucking/LTL shipments when required. Schedule pickups with vendors and shipping companies. Coordinate closely with Inspection, Purchasing, Manufacturing and the front office. Maintain an organized shipping, receiving and inventory area. Operate a propane-powered forklift as required. Occasionally lift and move approximately 50-75 pounds. What We Are Looking For At least 2 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace or AS9100 manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and follow-through. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows. Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx online shipping is preferred. Experience with manufacturing paperwork such as purchase orders, packing slips and certifications. Experience maintaining inventory or spare-parts stock is preferred. Ability to use calipers and micrometers. Ability to work independently and stay focused while handling multiple priorities. Ability to recognize when paperwork, quantities, part numbers or material do not agree and investigate the problem rather than simply passing it along. Forklift experience is preferred. JobBoss experience is a plus. Must be able to reliably start work at 7:00 AM. Important This job requires someone who is equally comfortable working at a computer and physically handling parts and material throughout a manufacturing facility. If you are primarily looking for a forklift, warehouse or general labor position, this is probably not the right job for you. Likewise, this is not a desk-only documentation position. Accuracy matters. We need someone who notices when a certification is wrong, a quantity does not match a purchase order, a part number is incorrect, paperwork is missing, or a part has been placed in the wrong location. If you've read this far and are ready to demonstrate your attention to detail, please include the words "high functioning" somewhere in your reply.
