Job Description

Position Summary Genie Scientific is seeking a highly organized and process-driven Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to help establish, organize, and maintain our warehouse and inventory operations. While we have implemented an inventory management system, our processes are still evolving, and we need someone who has the experience and initiative to help build a structured, efficient, and scalable warehouse operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order from chaos, developing best practices, and working cross-functionally with purchasing, production, project management, and shipping teams. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management Manage inventory transactions within our inventory management system. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Establish inventory control procedures and best practices. Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment actions. Warehouse Operations Organize warehouse layout to improve efficiency and material flow. Develop standardized methods for receiving, storing, picking, and issuing materials. Create labeling, location tracking, and inventory identification standards. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety. Shipping & Receiving Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare shipments for customers, vendors, and project sites. Work with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Track shipping performance and resolve delivery issues. Process Development Develop and document warehouse and inventory procedures. Create metrics and reporting for inventory accuracy and warehouse performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions. Train team members on inventory and warehouse procedures. Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Project Management, and Logistics teams. Support project material staging and warehouse planning. Ensure materials are available when needed to support production schedules. QualificationsRequired 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience using inventory management or ERP systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience conducting cycle counts and inventory audits. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment. Preferred Experience helping implement or improve inventory systems and processes. Manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or industrial environment experience. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience establishing warehouse organization systems and standards. What Success Looks Like Within the first 6 months, this individual will: Improve inventory accuracy. Establish organized warehouse locations and labeling systems. Develop standardized receiving and issuing procedures. Reduce time spent searching for materials. Pay:
$33.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
