Position Title:

Freight Forwarding Operations Team Leader ■

General Responsibilities:

 Lead and oversee daily ocean and air import/export freight forwarding operations.  Coordinate and monitor domestic trucking, drayage, warehouse pickups, and inland transportation throughout the U.S.  Manage shipment schedules and ensure timely and accurate execution of logistics operations.  Serve as a key point of contact for customers, overseas offices, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and logistics partners.  Provide guidance and operational support to team members and assist with workload coordination.  Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, or operational issues.  Coordinate port drayage operations for the Los Angeles / Long Beach ports.  Arrange Flatbed, Stepdeck, Heavy Haul, Project Cargo, and OOG shipments as needed.  Review shipping and customs-related documentation and ensure proper operational procedures are followed.  Support management in improving workflow, operational efficiency, and overall service quality.  Assist with training and mentoring junior team members and support team development. ■

Qualifications:

 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.  Strong experience in ocean and/or air import/export operations.  Prior experience leading, training, or supporting team members preferred.  Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic trucking and drayage operations.  Experience coordinating shipments with customers, carriers, warehouses, and overseas partners.  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.  Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics-related systems.  Strong English communication skills; Korean-English bilingual ability preferred. ■ Preferred Experience  Ocean and/or Air Export experience strongly preferred.  Experience with Los Angeles / Long Beach port drayage.  Experience dispatching truckers and coordinating warehouse pickups and deliveries.  Knowledge of Flatbed, Stepdeck, and Heavy Haul transportation.  Experience handling Project Cargo and OOG shipments.  Experience mentoring or supervising logistics operations staff. ■
