Position Overview/Job Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This position involves overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse processes and demonstrate effective leadership skills to coordinate team efforts in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the timely and efficient flow of orders and materials to ensure orders are delivered on time. He/she will perform activities that support inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of freight and proper distribution of warehouse items. This includes planning driver routes, scheduling trucks, tracking and reporting on the progress of shipments. This position will also keep track of inventory stock and communicate with other departments as needed. A successful candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills as well as logistics experience.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound documents, outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels, etc.) following standard procedures.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs. Respond to inquiries and telephone calls. Respond to requests by researching information.
  • Plan and schedule all transfers, outbound and inbound orders
  • Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for all inbound freight according to warehouse capacities to support proper inbound warehouse functioning.
  • Complete inbound freight processes by performing inbound driver check-in and check-out.
  • Ensure warehouse readiness for receiving by assigning receiving doors for inbound carriers.
  • Process customer orders in IFS (MRP system) doing the required transactions for picking, staging, shipping, delivering, closing order, etc..
  • Receive purchase orders in IFS (MRP system) doing the required transactions in the system
  • Route company drivers efficiently to assure all orders are delivered according to schedule
  • Schedule 3rd party carriers when needed
  • Check orders, and print labels/documentation
  • Close and process all orders to ensure that the billing is done on time
  • Collaborate with other departments such as QA and Customer service to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
  • Daily filing of documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety guidelines to assure safe handling of equipment
  • Back-up the WH leader at any of our 3 warehouses ( Anaheim, KB, La Palma )
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Adhere to and enforce all personal safety procedures; promptly escalate any safety concerns to management
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support departmental operations
  • While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it may involve assisting in training team members or providing coverage during absences

Skills/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience in traffic, logistics, or related field Valid forklift certification Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred Experience with OSHA health and safety coordination is a plus Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, reaching, climbing, and general movement throughout the facility
  • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull as required
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that may vary in temperature (hot or cool) and can be noisy at times
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
