General Team Lead Schedule:
Full-Time We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Team Lead to support daily warehouse and production operations. The Team Lead will work alongside employees while helping ensure the team meets expectations for production, quality, safety, attendance, and overall performance. This is a working leadership position. The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates expectations clearly, provides hands-on training and coaching, and follows through to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead and support employees during daily warehouse and production activities. Assign work and communicate daily production priorities and expectations. Monitor individual and team production throughout the shift. Ensure employees understand their assigned duties and expected output. Provide hands-on training to new and existing employees. Demonstrate work processes and observe employees performing tasks to verify understanding. Coach employees in real time when performance, quality, or process issues are identified. Follow up after providing direction to ensure work was completed correctly. Monitor quality and ensure employees follow established SOPs and customer requirements. Identify production delays, bottlenecks, staffing concerns, and other operational issues. Communicate production and employee concerns to management promptly. Assist with tracking production, attendance, quality, and other operational metrics. Help maintain an organized and productive work environment. Support management with implementing process improvements and operational changes. Hold employees accountable for following established processes and expectations. Safety Responsibilities Team Leads are expected to actively support and enforce workplace safety requirements, including: Ensure employees wear all required PPE and appropriate safety-toe footwear. Monitor employees for safe work practices throughout the shift. Monitor forklift and powered industrial truck activity and immediately address unsafe operation. Ensure tools, machinery, and equipment are being used appropriately. Identify and immediately address unsafe behaviors or conditions. Maintain clear aisles, exits, pedestrian walkways, and work areas. Report safety incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly. Reinforce safety expectations during daily operations and employee coaching. Escalate repeated or serious safety violations to management. Lead by example by consistently following all safety requirements. Leadership Expectations Being a Team Lead means taking ownership of the team's performance. Giving an employee an instruction is only the first step.
Team Leads are expected to:
Explain → Demonstrate → Observe → Coach → Verify → Follow Up If an employee does not understand a process, the Team Lead should provide additional instruction and hands-on coaching. If the employee understands the expectation but continues not to follow it, the Team Lead is expected to address the performance issue and escalate appropriately. Qualifications Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, recycling, ITAD, logistics, or similar experience preferred. Previous Team Lead or leadership experience strongly preferred. Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback. Strong attention to production, quality, and safety. Ability to identify problems and take appropriate action. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Basic computer and data-entry skills preferred. Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and management. Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on the warehouse/production floor. Ability to meet the physical requirements of a warehouse environment. What Success Looks Like A successful Team Lead knows what their team is expected to accomplish each day and actively manages the operation to achieve those expectations.
Success will be measured by:
Achievement of daily production goals Quality and accuracy of completed work Employee productivity and performance Proper employee training and development Compliance with SOPs and work instructions PPE and workplace safety compliance Safe equipment and forklift practices Attendance and punctuality within the team Timely communication and escalation of issues Consistent coaching and follow-through Ability to maintain an organized and productive work area The Team Lead's responsibility does not end when direction is given. The expectation is to verify execution, coach when necessary, and follow through until the standard is consistently met.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
