1st and Swing Shift Shipping Coordinators in San Jose, CA

Job Summary:

Join our team as a Shipping Coordinator, where you will be crucial in executing daily shipment schedules and ensuring accurate, timely outbound shipments. This role involves verifying and maintaining records of all outgoing goods by comparing identifying information against bills of lading, invoices, and other records. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time contractor position with the potential for conversion after 6 months.

Responsibilities:

Execute and follow up on daily shipping targets based on variable schedules and requests.

Monitor all outgoing shipments and update tracking tools and systems in real time.

Maintain daily shipping logs to ensure all transactions are accurate, documented, and properly closed.

Promptly report any discrepancies to the Supervisor and Program Management team.

Ensure compliance with C-TPAT requirements and company shipping standards.

Support timely and cost-effective delivery of materials while maintaining quality and safety practices, including identifying suspicious or non-conforming materials and ensuring proper handling.

Coordinate with shipping carriers, internal departments, and external customers to ensure on-time and accurate shipments.

Use Shop Floor Control (SFC) and other systems to track product movement, ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in the system or tracker.

Prioritize and manage international shipments and urgent requests throughout the day.

Follow up on shipment-related issues and drive them to full resolution.

Skills:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic mathematical abilities.

Proficiency with computers and inventory/shipping tracking tools.

SAP experience preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Dangerous Goods (DG) certification is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
Education:

B.A./B.S. or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience in manufacturing settings.

Language:

English proficiency required, Mandarin is a plus.
