Job Description Position Summary:
Provide focus, direction and leadership for the Shipping/Receiving function. Supervise, direct activities, monitor productivity, measure progress and set expectations regarding safety, productivity, quality and schedule.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages all shipping/receiving/trucking personnel to ensure conformance to established metrics (Safety, TOC, Dock Targets, Productivity and Cost) and adherence to procedures (PC's). Reserve material for shipments and record documentation appropriately. Trains Production Control personnel in the various tasks needed to support the department, including but not limited to processing change orders; obtaining quotes, writing purchase orders, and following up with outside processing; shipping; master milestone; conversion milestone; exception reports; job release procedures; and split-off travelers. Manages shipping schedules based on customer requirements as determined by Sales and Production Control. Manage freight costs. Monitors reports and metrics to improve on time performance and reduce wait time. Provides direction to Production Supervision relative to receive/dock/shipping targets on a daily basis. Participates in daily shipping meetings and prepares daily shipping lists to support shipping forecasts. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems; initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals; enforces safety regulations; initiates and maintains 6S and Lean initiatives. Working Conditions:
Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment Constant exposure to moderate noise Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, coolants, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces. Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours. Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials. Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane. Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level. Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $80000 to $115000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
