Overview Our customer is seeking a Logistics Lead on behalf of a leading infrastructure services provider supporting telecom, utility, and traffic control operations. This individual will independently manage warehouse operations, fleet accountability, inventory control, and material tracking at the project level. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology and inventory systems, and capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on warehouse and yard operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining material accountability, fleet oversight, operational efficiency, and project support. Key Responsibilities Fleet & Equipment Management (Primary Responsibility) Maintain all company fleet vehicles and equipment in proper operating condition. Manage equipment and vehicle sign-in/sign-out procedures. Ensure fleet and equipment assets are protected from damage, theft, and misuse. Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet-related coordination and oversight. Inventory & Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory counts across all materials, fleet assets, tools, and equipment. Track inventory by project, job number, and storage location. Maintain organized, clearly labelled warehouses and yard storage areas. Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Material Issuance & Returns Issue materials to field crews based on approved project requirements. Ensure all material check-outs are accurately documented. Manage and enforce return of materials from completed or paused projects. Coordinate material transfers between active projects to maximize utilization and minimize unnecessary purchases. Track materials received, issued, returned, transferred, or remaining outstanding at the project level. Job Close-Out Support Support project teams with material reconciliation and project close-out activities. Identify surplus, missing, damaged, or unaccounted-for materials. Ensure project materials are either returned to inventory or properly transferred to another active project. Assist management with material accountability and cost-control efforts. Inventory Accuracy & Controls Perform routine cycle counts and periodic physical inventories. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Maintain audit-ready documentation for:

Material receipts Project transfers Material returns Inventory write-offs Damaged materials Lost materials Ensure inventory records remain accurate and current within company systems. Coordination with Operations & Field Teams Partner with project managers, superintendents, crew leaders, and field supervisors. Communicate material shortages, back orders, and inventory concerns. Support short-term and long-term planning for upcoming project work. Assist with material allocation decisions and movement of inventory between projects. Reporting & Tracking Maintain inventory, fleet, and project tracking records within company systems.

Material usage by project Outstanding materials by project Returned versus missing materials Fleet usage and condition Support job costing, material reconciliation, and operational reporting requirements. All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in fleet management, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or material management. Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Strong computer skills with proficiency in: Microsoft Excel Email systems OneDrive Spreadsheets Inventory and tracking systems Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and technology systems. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills with both office personnel and field teams. Forklift operation experience or certification. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience tracking materials by project and job number. Experience supporting project close-out and material reconciliation efforts. Experience overseeing fleet assets or equipment inventories. Familiarity with construction, telecom, utility, or infrastructure environments. Experience operating yards, all-terrain, or material-handling equipment. Previous field experience transitioning into warehouse or logistics operations. Work Environment / Travel / Schedule Onsite position located in Apopka, Florida.

Standard schedule:

7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work is performed in warehouses, yards, and occasional project-site environments. Combination of administrative computer work and hands-on operational responsibilities. Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and active construction environments.
