Job Overview The Warehouse Supervisor requires all skills ad responsibilities of a Material Handler (see Material Handler Job Description). Additional responsibilities including; scheduling and prioritizing work throughout the warehouse and receiving dock, evaluating and improving methods to increase quality and efficiency, assist in establishing staff requirements and related costs. Supervise assigned staff to ensure safety and accomplish goals. Position requires active participation in team and cross functional meetings.
Hours:
7am - 3:30pm M-F (occasional work on weekends as business requires) Duties Works directly with the Plant managers and foremen to coordinate the supply and movement of materials into Production. (Daily morning reports with production supervisor and purchasing). Schedules, prioritizes and tracks all orders processed through the warehouse. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment. Forklift Certified Works individually and with team members to solve problems, improve processes, aid in decision making and maintain the spirit of Joyful Growth. Assists in cycle counts Improves space utilization and workflow. Ensure the accuracy of all material transactions completed in receiving and the warehouse. Maintains accurate records and documentation. Assumes responsibility for warehouse equipment and maintenance. Assists in hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews and disciplining of new and existing associates. Responsible for delegation of duties and work hours of Material Handlers Actively participate in team and cross functional team meetings. Communicate openly and honestly with team members. Completes special assignments as requested by management. Perform physical inventory of cells where cycle count accuracy is below 95%. Identifies slow moving inventory and initiate process to remove excess or obsolete. Processing of all RMA for invoicing. Work closely with purchasing Receiving raw goods Qualifications A degree in Manufacturing or two to five years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment as well as previous supervisory experience is preferred. Excellent computer, organizational, written and oral communication skills are essential. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms. Internal contact and communications with associates is frequent. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information. Organizational Relationships Position reports directly to the Director of Operations, but requires interactions throughout the entire organization. Has supervisory responsibility for the Material Handlers, Packaging and Shipping Specialists. Cognitive Functions Work is performed with a moderate level of supervision in a team environment. Tasks are generally well defined and recurring, however innovation for continual process improvement is required. Must deal continuously with a wide variety of issues ranging from technical to personnel matters. Working Conditions Work is performed in a Warehouse/production environment. Hazards are limited if established safeguards are followed. Must be able to lift loads of up to 50 pounds. Occasional travel is required. Resource Accountability Resource responsibility if moderate. Requires adherence to processes for the proper tracking, movement and storage of all material used in our products. Pay:
$49,532.79 - $55,652.39 per year
