In 2010, the K Laser Technology Cold Foil Business Unit (CFBU) was formed, and the East Coast Fulfillment Center was established in Sarasota, Florida. This position manages the daily shipping operations and coordinates with various freight and parcel couriers to schedule pick-ups to ensure accurate, safe, and timely deliveries. Additionally, this position works in tandem with the inventory personnel for daily receiving operations. Shipping Coordination Work with shipping vendors to ensure timely inbound and outbound deliveries Coordinating deliveries, including scheduling carrier pickups and dropping off packages at carrier hubs Create and process shipping documents for the day's shipments (i.e. shipping labels, Bill of Ladings, Commercial Invoices, etc) Communicate with customers regarding shipment tracking and handling any issues that may arise Complete finished paperwork for daily shipped orders Assist with courier contracts regarding pricing Contact appropriate courier rep or customer service to resolve or dispute any issues including filing of claims Loading of daily parcel and freight shipments Receiving Coordination Loading and unloading stock deliveries Match shipments to packing lists, bill of ladings (BOLs), and purchase orders Inspect shipment/material when received Label pallets accordingly Report any damaged or missing items to the Production Manager Future Processes Devise ways to optimize shipping procedures Responsibilities may evolve as we continue to refine this position. Duties may be added, eliminated, or adjusted over time Required Skills and Qualifications General knowledge of shipping practices and major carriers Proficiency with shipping interfaces (i.e. UPS, FedEx, XPO, Old Dominion, etc) Strong collaborative communication skills between couriers, drivers, customers, and internal personnel (emails, verbal, etc) Strong skills to track multiple orders and meet tight deadlines Self-starter, ability to problem-solve on the fly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel) Able to lift up to 60 lbs Forklift certified
