Fort Lauderdale Warehouse Worker brief job description : 8 am - 4:30 pm Employee should be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail oriented, and able to follow instructions. Should have prior experience working in a warehouse environment. General Responsibilities for Warehouse Worker Organize inventory within the warehouse by properly storing material in designated areas Maintain accurate records of materials delivered or shipped and provide accurate representation of all goods shipped and received Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy by comparing purchase order, invoices, and handling transloads and supporting the mom-and-pops Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management or buyers Physical Abilities Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (professional forklift certification is strongly preferred) Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 lbs. Ability to work independently and safely Interpersonal skills are essential Technical Skills Must be detail oriented with ability to receive and document all materials delivered to the warehouse Ability to efficiently communicate via email utilizing Microsoft Outlook Accurately maintain company database Experience with Microsoft based software Typing and record keeping skills necessary to provide accurate information for managers, buyers, and other office or ship personnel regarding warehouse inventory Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks Customer Service mentality is beneficial
