Essential Functions Directly leads a warehouse team of approx. 4-5 employees, setting daily priorities and ensuring consistent productivity throughout the day Proactively identify and assign work tasks to warehouse team members to keep them engaged in warehouse, merchandising, inventory and maintenance efforts Set the pace for the team by working alongside employees and creating a sense of urgency to complete work efficiently, staying ahead of the days workload and creating capacity for unexpected needs and changing priorities Drive delivery vehicle, and assist with deliveries Load/Unload delivery trucks ensuring inventory accuracy Assist visual design by positioning furniture on the showroom floor Responsible for maintaining/improving warehouse organization and inventory location accuracy Monitor aged inventory and keep stock levels current Repair/touch up furniture as needed Maintain building and grounds Ensure all safety measures are being followed Assist with the coordination of in store deliveries progressing toward greater ownership as proficiency develops Required Experience/Abilities/Skills High School diploma or GED equivalency certificate Valid Driver's License and a maintained clear and safe driving record A minimum of 6 years driving history At least 3 years' experience in a retail or service-related business involving customer service Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Background checks are mandatory Turner's Furniture is a Certified Drug-Free Workplace.
