Shipping Manager

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Conduct periodic inventory counts. Use shipping software such as UPS , FedEx Ship Manager , and other logistics programs to process outgoing shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records using Microsoft Excel and internal systems. Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper equipment handling. Lead by example with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail. Train, support, and assist warehouse staff as needed. Prioritize tasks and troubleshoot issues to keep operations running smoothly. Work with the customer service team to resolve issues related to lost or damaged shipments in a timely manner. Transport materials or operate company vehicles when required. Manage employee schedules and plan staffing needs based on order volume, promotions, and seasonal demand. Hire temporary staff during peak seasons or sudden order surges to meet shipping goals. Perform quality control checks on incoming shipments. Ensure returns are handled in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all warehouse processes and procedures are consistently followed. Job Requirements Prior warehouse managerial experience required ( minimum 5 years preferred ). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift or move heavy products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize effectively. Customer service experience is a plus. Must have reliable transportation. Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Responsive and dependable. Must be able to work weekends or holidays as needed. Minimum Requirements 5-8 years management experience Experience leading a warehouse team including hiring, training and motivating. Strong problem-solving skills.
