ABOUT THE ROLE
The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload railcars, boats and/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Terminal Operators need the ability to communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales personnel, trucking firms and suppliers. Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc. Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, waterway and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location. Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education :
High School diploma/
GED Required Work Experience:
1-3 years
Required Computer and Software Skills:
Basic Knowledge about computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP.
Additional Requirements:
High Mechanical aptitude and ability. Candidates with a mechanical background and welding experience are desirable. Knowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
