Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Battery Discharge Team Lead to oversee the efficient discharge and management of batteries within our distribution center. This role is vital in ensuring safe handling, proper inventory control, and process optimization for battery operations. As a team leader, you will coordinate daily activities, supervise warehouse staff, and implement continuous improvements to enhance productivity and safety standards. Your leadership will drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment, supporting the company's commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties Lead and supervise the battery discharge team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures Coordinate daily discharge activities, including material handling, inventory tracking, and equipment operation Oversee the operation of forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment to facilitate efficient battery processing Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste Maintain accurate inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards during all operations Collaborate with logistics teams to schedule shipping & receiving activities related to discharged batteries Conduct regular training sessions for team members on warehouse operations, safety practices, and equipment use Monitor warehouse distribution processes to ensure timely completion of discharge tasks and inventory accuracy Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance overall warehouse efficiency and safety Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations with a focus on battery or materials handling environments Strong leadership skills with proven team management and supervisory experience in a warehouse setting Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office tools Skilled in operating forklift trucks, heavy lifting equipment, RF scanners, and other material handling machinery Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and OSHA certification is highly desirable Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team leadership and coordination Ability to implement lean management principles for process improvement within warehouse operations Familiarity with distribution center operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control techniques Experience with warehouse supervisor roles or managing teams involved in materials handling or battery discharge processes Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory accuracy and safety compliance Join us as a Battery Discharge Team Lead to play a crucial role in maintaining safe, efficient, and innovative battery management operations.
