Job Description

Job Title Distribution Supervisor - 2nd shift Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking for a Distribution Supervisor to supervise a safe, efficient, and productive work environment so as to satisfy customer requirements and improve the overall performance of all Distribution associates. This position is located in Dalton, GA. The hours for this position is 2nd shift, 3:00pm- 11:00pm. Essential Functions:
Responsible for daily shift operation of the department(s) Continuously strives to provide a safe work environment to help reach our goal of Zero accidents. Continuously works to produce Zero defects. Investigates any quality problem within the department. Supervises assigned work, gives proper instructions, and manages the performance of associates. Ensures Company policies are adhered to, and attendance policies are followed. Administers corrective discipline where appropriate. Coordinates product flow in a manner to best meet the needs of each department while also meeting customer requirements. Assures associates are following proper procedures while conforming to customer requirements. Monitors shift production and LMS system Coordinates with the Maintenance Department to ensure all maintenance projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Tours department observing quality and operations of equipment. Investigates production problems and takes corrective action as needed. Actively works to increase employee engagement, attendance, and morale. Actively seeks out areas of improvement within the department. Actively promotes and maintains the SMS, PRIDE and SAFE systems within the department. Follows procedure for employees returning from LOA or Layoff. Completes all required timecard reporting.
Requirements:
2+ years' leadership experience Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Strong Communication/Soft Skills Strong relationship building skills Ability to support other shifts based on business needs
Preferred Experience:
Previous Distribution/Logistics experience Bilingual in Spanish preferred
