This role is vital in maintaining smooth logistics workflows, implementing process improvements, and upholding safety standards. As a Warehouse Lead, you will motivate and guide your team to meet operational goals while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly impact the accuracy of inventory management and the timely shipping and receiving of goods. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling operations. Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and morale. Oversee the operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners, ensuring safe and efficient use in accordance with OSHA standards. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques; conduct regular cycle counts and audits. Coordinate logistics activities with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely distribution center operations. Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance to create a safe working environment for all team members. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution center management with a strong understanding of logistics processes. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior warehouse supervisor or team management experience. Proficiency in inventory management systems (such as WMS), Microsoft Office suite, and RF scanner technology. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and other heavy lifting machinery safely. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, OSHA regulations, and lean management practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively through managerial communication techniques. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
