Logistics Coordinator
REPORTS TO
GTC - Inventory & Warehouse Lead The position will encompass the materials needs of shipping completed transformers from GTC to customer site as well as customer specific pick-up orders. The Warehouse Lead will play an integral part in providing leadership and oversight to the warehouse team and ensuring the proper execution of warehouse / materials operations to ensure on-time shipment focused on customer satisfaction.
The Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide team leadership and promote warehouse safety. Monitor warehouse productivity and coordinate logistical processes. Properly identify and process incoming material returns, and ensure paperwork and systems transactions are completed. Process all Return Material Authorizations (RMA) activities to ensure timely customer credits while protecting company interests. Work with cross-functional teams to provide material feedback to continuously improve and maintain standards and procedures. Prepare required paperwork for return of unused, warranty and repairable material. Maintain a neat, organized working area. Perform other duties as assigned to include: Shipping Receiving Cycle counts Warehouse maintenance The physical demands of the job: Capable of pushing, pulling and/or lifting 50+ pounds during the workday. Work on your feet and be capable of standing, walking, bending and/or reaching throughout the workday.
REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma is required. Two-year trade school or Associate degree preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Critical thinking skills Comfort with a computer, experience with Word and Excel Ability to listen and provide verbal directions to staff. Respond quickly to materials and delivery issues by solving problems and requesting assistance for problems beyond their expertise. Basic training in Lean Sigma principles. (6S, GEMBA, Kaizen,) Good interpersonal, organizational communication and mechanical skills required. Must be self-motivated and possess both cognitive and reasoning skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and math skills. Competent PC skills (Excel, Word, Power-Point, and GTC systems knowledge, Kronos, Ability to interact with both management and hourly production staff.
