Job Description

Description:
The Supervisor, Shipping reports to the Manager, Shipping and plays a crucial role in overseeing shipping operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and productivity. This position is responsible for direct supervision of shipping associates while enforcing company procedures, safety protocols, and workflow optimization. Summary of Essential Job Functions Ensure compliance with company guidelines, SOPs, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Conduct routine safety inspections and promote awareness among team members. Oversee daily shipping operations to meet deadlines and quality standards. Coordinate workflow and maintain clear communication across departments. Support management efforts to achieve profit and growth objectives. Uphold and implement Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations. Set production goals and ensure timely and accurate movement of products. Supervise the loading and shipping process while ensuring accuracy in documentation. Train, guide, and support shipping associates in operational procedures. Maintain all required paperwork related to shipping operations. Lead by example in promoting safe work practices and teamwork. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma required; college coursework preferred. Strong computer proficiency with experience in inventory systems. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to support other departments as needed. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, stoop, or crawl. Strong reasoning and judgment skills to troubleshoot shipping-related issues. Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
