The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, order fulfillment processes, and transportation management. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of safety, and driving continuous process improvement within the warehouse environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency. Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products. Oversee order fulfillment activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Implement lean methodologies to optimize workflow and reduce waste in warehouse processes. Coordinate transportation planning and fleet management to ensure effective distribution logistics. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and AS400 systems for tracking shipments and managing inventory. Develop and manage departmental budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to enhance performance and productivity. Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency within the distribution center. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center environment. Strong knowledge of budgeting principles and financial management related to warehouse operations. Familiarity with lean principles and process improvement methodologies. Experience with order fulfillment processes and transportation management systems is preferred. Proficient in using AS400 or similar warehouse management software. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
