Job Description
Essential Job Functions Provides leadership to employees using the warehouse. Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse. Assists in interviewing potential new warehouse employees. Oversees the company's warehouse, grounds, equipment, tools, and product inventory. Oversees the company's warehouse and tool room. Maintains proper amount of product, tool and equipment inventory at all times. Compiles and submits orders for products and materials. Assists in decision making of fleet and equipment when needed. Partners with HR to counsel, support or discipline employees. Partners with accounting department to manage inventory and is responsible for accurate counts. Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations. Operates fork truck. Loads and unloads freight of material and organizes within warehouse. Provides a remarkable experience for homeowners and employees. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills / Abilities Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills. Ability to be decisive and comfortable making decisions quickly. Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and the ability to drive for the company required. Skill in operating a computer and related programs. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics and/or inventory management or a combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stay upright/stand the majority of the day. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to move about and move to/from and work from the floor level.
