Based on Experience HS Wholesale is looking for a hands-on Inbound/Outbound Supervisor to lead receiving, freight, putaway, transportation, and continuous improvement across our distribution operation. You'll own the movement of product from arrival through receiving, verification, staging, putaway, storage, internal transfer, freight preparation, and outbound transportation coordination — making sure product and documentation move accurately while maintaining visibility, traceability, inventory integrity, safety, and service. This is an active warehouse-floor leadership position . You'll stay visible on the operation, personally inspect conditions, verify execution, communicate with employees and transportation partners, and step in directly when conditions call for leadership action. Experience with warehouse management systems — Deposco preferred — plus shipping/receiving, freight operations, transportation scheduling, inventory control, process improvement, KPI management, and employee development will set you up for success here. HS Wholesale supervisors are expected to consistently demonstrate Accountability, Transparency, Trust, and Integrity — these are non-negotiable leadership standards for this role. What You'll Do Receiving Operations Direct daily receiving activities for inbound merchandise Coordinate dock schedules, unloading, product verification, staging, and receiving transactions Verify incoming product against POs and documentation; escalate discrepancies, overages, shortages, and damages Monitor receiving productivity and dock-to-stock performance Putaway & Internal Product Flow Own timely, accurate movement of merchandise from staging into designated locations Monitor putaway backlog and verify Deposco transactions Partner with inventory and fulfillment leadership on accurate product locations Identify congestion, storage constraints, and inefficient product movement Freight Operations Direct freight preparation, staging, documentation, carrier coordination, and release Coordinate multi-facility orders/transfers and monitor freight aging Verify pallets, cartons, documentation, labels, and destination info before release Transportation Management Schedule and coordinate inbound/outbound transportation and internal transfers Monitor carrier performance; escalate missed pickups, late arrivals, and service failures Identify opportunities to consolidate movements and reduce transportation costs Deposco / WMS Management Ensure accurate receiving, movement, transfer, freight, and shipping transactions Use WMS data to identify stalled work, aging freight, and bottlenecks Train employees on proper WMS processes KPI Ownership Monitor, report, and improve metrics including dock-to-stock time, receiving accuracy, putaway cycle time/backlog, inventory accuracy, freight and shipment accuracy, on-time carrier pickup/shipment, damage rate, shrinkage, labor productivity, and safety/5S compliance. Opening & Closing / Team Leadership Open/close warehouse operations; run shift huddles and floor inspections Lead, coach, train, and develop receivers, freight employees, associates, and drivers Support interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management Continuous Improvement & 5S Identify waste, bottlenecks, and execution gaps; lead root-cause analysis Create, document, and audit SOPs; drive sustainable countermeasures Lead 5S implementation and maintain visual management standards What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred ; OR 5-7 years of progressively responsible warehouse, distribution, transportation, or logistics experience Previous supervisory or warehouse-management experience strongly preferred Experience in high-volume distribution, wholesale, retail distribution, e-commerce, or multi-facility operations preferred Deposco WMS experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving, freight, transportation scheduling, cycle counting, and shrink control KPI development, labor planning, and SOP creation experience Root-cause analysis and conflict resolution skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills under pressureReports To:
Distribution Center Manager Physical / Operational Expectations This is a warehouse-floor leadership role requiring significant standing and walking, regular interaction with employees, and direct involvement in operational execution. May require bending, reaching, and working around material-handling equipment. Must be able to work adjusted or extended hours as business needs require (customer demand, transportation schedules, staffing, or operational emergencies). What Success Looks Like A successful Inbound/Outbound Supervisor creates control, visibility, flow, and accountability across the operation — not just flagging that freight is late or putaway is backed up, but identifying why , what risk it creates, what corrective action is needed, who owns it, and when it'll be resolved.Pay:
