Job Type:
Full-Time Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to join a small manufacturing and distribution company in the Aurora area. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of multiple aspects of daily warehouse operations. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory organization, material handling, and preparing both domestic and international shipments. A particularly important part of this role is the proper handling and shipment of dangerous goods/hazardous materials. The ideal candidate will have previous experience preparing dangerous goods or hazmat shipments and a strong understanding of proper classification, packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier requirements. DOT and/or IATA dangerous goods training is strongly preferred. Key ResponsibilitiesPick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Receive incoming inventory and properly put away and organize materials.

Load and unload trucks and other incoming/outgoing shipments.

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.

Maintain accurate inventory records and an organized warehouse.

Prepare and process domestic and international shipments.

Properly prepare and package dangerous goods/hazardous materials for shipment.

Ensure dangerous goods are properly classified, packaged, labeled, marked, and documented according to applicable regulations and carrier requirements.

Review shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Follow applicable DOT, IATA, carrier, and company requirements for hazardous material shipments.

Coordinate with carriers and internal teams as needed to resolve shipping issues.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

Work independently and prioritize multiple warehouse responsibilities throughout the day.

Follow all company safety procedures and material-handling requirements.
