Job Description

Receiving Lead Vita Food Products, Inc. | Logistics Department Employment classification: Non-exempt Reports to: Logistics Coordinator / Logistics Manager Vita Food Products is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee the receipt, documentation, and storage of incoming materials. This position leads receiving forklift drivers and temporary employees while helping ensure that materials are handled safely, recorded accurately, and stored in accordance with our quality and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead daily receiving activities and coordinate the work of receiving forklift drivers and temporary employees. Safely operate a forklift and ensure receiving activities follow established safety procedures. Inspect, document, label, and store incoming materials in accordance with receiving procedures. Enter released materials into GP and maintain accurate receiving and shipment records. Prepare nonconformity and damage reports when needed. Monitor stock levels and work with Logistics, Production, Quality Control, and other departments to resolve receiving issues. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and follow GMP, sanitation, PPE, and Clean as You Go requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned by Logistics management. Qualifications At least two years of shipping and receiving experience. Forklift operating experience and a strong commitment to safe work practices. Experience using Microsoft applications and the ability to use a computer or tablet, enter information accurately, and print labels. Ability to read, write, and speak English to complete receiving records and communicate work instructions. Strong basic math, organization, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and maintain accurate records. Dependable attendance and flexibility to start early or stay late when business needs require it. Training on Vita's receiving, food safety, and workplace safety procedures will be provided as required.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
