Job Description

Job Title:
Logistics Analyst Job Description The Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting up to four Logistics Planning Analysts in the procurement of materials from both international and domestic suppliers to meet manufacturing build schedules. This role requires analyzing daily reports to identify potential material shortages, procuring parts from internal sources, arranging freight, and communicating with cross-functional teams to reconcile part availability issues. The typical supply base ranges from 60 to 85 suppliers. Responsibilities Support Logistics Planning Analysts in procuring materials to meet manufacturing and assembly schedules. Analyze daily reports to identify and resolve potential part shortages. Track domestic and international shipments, including overseas freight with extended transit times, to verify estimated times of arrival (ETAs). Procure parts from internal sources by reviewing inventory levels and issuing purchase orders. Order material from alternative depots or facilities when suppliers cannot meet demand. Arrange freight with internal logistics teams and external carriers. Communicate with Logistics Planning Analysts, Warehouse personnel, Distribution Technicians, and other Supply Chain functions to resolve part availability issues. Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine material requirements and priorities. Examine documents, materials, and products for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards. Record production data, including material consumption, production volume, and quality control measures. Essential Skills Experience with Excel or PowerBI. Experience working in logistics and trucking. Recent experience working on a team or supporting a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of logistics, logistics support, transportation, freight, and shipping & receiving. Work Environment The role involves approximately 95% desk work and 5% meetings. Work hours typically fall between 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM ET, and the position is fully in-office, Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
