Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Supervisor to oversee and coordinate manufacturing operations within our plastics production facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in plastics injection molding, and proficiency with various manufacturing and machining tools. This leadership role involves supervising production staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow through lean manufacturing principles. The supervisor will also be responsible for implementing safety protocols and optimizing processes to meet production goals. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of plastic injection molding processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards Coordinate with team members to meet production schedules and optimize machine utilization Oversee setup, calibration, and maintenance of injection molding machines and related equipment such as CNC lathes, press brake machines, and CNC machines Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to ensure product specifications are met Manage materials handling, fabrication, assembly, and warehousing activities to streamline production flow Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency Train and mentor team members on proper machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control measures Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for process monitoring and troubleshooting equipment issues Maintain accurate documentation of production data, inspection reports, and maintenance logs Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing proper use of hand tools, forklifts, and other machinery Requirements Proven experience in plastics injection molding supervision or manufacturing leadership roles Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plastics blow molding, extrusion, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machinery, press brake machines, CNC lathes, forklifts, hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and materials handling procedures Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations Basic math skills necessary for measurements and process calculations Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on plastics processing is highly preferred
