Make a difference The Supervisor of Supply Distribution functions as Supervisor for Materials Management. Responsible for daily material handling (Shipping and Receiving, Linen Services, Supply Distribution and where applicable - Sterile Processing). Responsible for maintaining staff education and performance appraisals. Works directly with Materials Management Site Manager assisting with daily process needs, staffing, budget process, and department communication. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications 4+ years of Materials Distribution or supply management experience required. 2‑year Associate Degree required; however, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement. 2 years' experience in healthcare setting preferred Oversees daily Materials Management operations and supports department workflow. Represents the department on hospital committees and collaborates cross-functionally. Manages resources, budgeting needs, and equipment maintenance/replacement to optimize productivity and control costs. Coordinates with Purchasing and vendors to resolve supply issues and ensure availability of materials. Develops and maintains a productive, high-quality workforce, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Assists with disciplinary actions and enforces hospital policies and regulatory compliance. Maintains required documentation, logbooks, QA reporting, and staff training programs. Leads department meetings, in-services, and communication initiatives. Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Demonstrates proficiency in all materials management functions and basic computer systems. Exhibits strong teamwork, customer service, communication, leadership, organization, and critical thinking skills. Why Community?
