Job Description

Join Barton 1792 Distillery as a Receiving Supervisor and lead a team responsible for ensuring critical production materials are received, verified, and available to support bottling operations. This role combines team leadership, inventory management, and operational planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Lead and develop receiving department team members to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material handling and inventory processes. Oversee the receipt, verification, unloading, and routing of production materials, including bottles, labels, closures, adhesives, and maintenance supplies. Coordinate inventory management activities to support uninterrupted bottling operations and maintain accurate system records. Monitor department performance, prepare operational reports, and partner with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and drive efficiency. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, food safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a positive team culture.
Schedule:
AWS Days (7am-7pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems. Preferred Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations. Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement practices, and manufacturing best practices. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with regular walking, standing, and movement throughout the facility. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to inspect inventory, operate office equipment, and work around material handling equipment as required.
