The focus is on designing, manufacturing, and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network branches across the Pacific and into Mexico and South America.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the timely processing of all outgoing shipments (LTL) in accordance with company operational and quality procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dock Coordinator will successfully assist with any tasks related to the loading and unloading of freight This position serves as the supervisor's "second set of eyes." A lead is responsible for making decisions and ensuring that the proper freight is loaded in the proper location at the proper time Monitors the loading quality of all trailers Help the supervisor to ensure that all loads' out cut times are being met Coordinates with the supervisor to ensure swaps trailers are done timely Assists with coordinating freight, information, and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort Assist by taking all necessary steps in the closeout preparation of a trailer Ensure all pallets for each order is account for before shipping Wrap and stage pallets for preparation of shipments Must be able to operate a forklift for staging and loading
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, ABILITIES
High School Diploma/GED or one of two years' experience in warehouse distribution Be able to communicate effectively Experience in MS Excel and MS Word required Attention to detail with alpha and numerical data Knowledge of key corporate business systems require
