Full-Time Position Summary We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead a small warehouse shipping team and help keep daily operations running efficiently. This is a working supervisor position. The right person will not simply assign tasks and watch from the sidelines. You will work alongside the team picking, packing, staging, loading, and preparing customer orders for shipment while also overseeing productivity, accuracy, safety, and employee performance. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse, shipping, distribution, or fulfillment experience , is comfortable operating forklifts and order pickers, and has the confidence to lead employees, solve problems, and communicate issues directly with the Warehouse Manager. What You'll Do Lead and supervise a team of approximately 3-4 warehouse and shipping employees. Oversee daily picking, packing, staging, shipping, and order fulfillment activities. Pick and package customer orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure orders are properly labeled, packaged, staged, and prepared for shipment. Assign daily tasks and prioritize workloads based on shipping deadlines. Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, attendance, and overall performance. Train and coach employees on warehouse procedures, safety, and expectations. Address performance, conduct, and productivity issues professionally and consistently. Operate forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely. Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and warehouse area. Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and warehouse standards. Monitor shipping accuracy and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, delays, or other concerns. Help troubleshoot shipping and fulfillment issues before they impact customers. Communicate problems, delays, staffing concerns, and operational issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager. Work with other departments to keep customer orders moving efficiently. Take ownership of the shipping department and help ensure orders leave the facility accurately and on time. Perform additional warehouse and shipping duties as needed. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, accountable, and comfortable taking charge. Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience strongly preferred. Hands-on experience picking and packing customer orders required . Forklift experience required. Order picker experience required. Experience with shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or order fulfillment preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to train, coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Ability to address employee performance or disciplinary issues professionally. Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipping accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet daily deadlines. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Dependable, trustworthy, and willing to communicate openly with management. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required. Ability to follow and enforce company safety procedures.
