Job Description
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shipping & Receiving/ Warehouse Operations Receive and unload inbound deliveries; verify items against delivery documentation for accuracy and visible condition. Stage, package, and label outbound materials for shipment or internal distribution as directed. Enter receiving and shipment information into designated systems following established procedures. Label, store, retrieve, and stage materials in assigned warehouse and storage locations. Maintain organized, clean, and safe receiving, storage, and staging areas. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk or Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. Deliveries and Equipment Perform assigned internal deliveries of supplies, materials, and equipment across MCCNO facilities. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric carts, and company vehicles as authorized and trained. Conduct basic equipment and vehicle checks and report issues in accordance with established procedures. Interact professionally with MCCNO staff, vendors, and event personnel while operating company vehicles and completing assigned transport tasks. Report cleanliness, maintenance, or safety concerns related to vehicles or equipment in accordance with established procedures. Inventory Support Assist with maintaining departmental stock levels. Record routine inventory transactions as assigned. Assist with physical inventory counts and audits. Follow established procedures for handling items sent for repair, replacement, or warranty service. Licenses and Certifications Individual must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license with no more than two moving violations within a twelve-month period. Certification to operate forklifts and similar warehouse equipment is required, or must be obtained within a defined training period after hire. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to operate a forklift, manual or electric pallet jack, electric cart and standard office equipment. Gather and analyze information skillfully, prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently to ensure that deadlines are met. Ability to perform under minimal supervision. Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Experience Required Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related shipping, receiving, warehouse operations or facilities support experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
