About The Role We seek a dedicated and experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee our 2nd shift shipping operations at our pharmaceutical distribution center. In this role, you will ensure that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time by organizing workflows and managing staff. You will lead, train, and supervise team leads and associates, with a focus on safe, efficient, and accurate packing and shipping processes. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring shipping performance, maintaining workflow, resolving operational issues, and ensuring orders meet quality and customer service standards. What You'll Do Supervise and support second shift operations for picking, packing, and shipping. Lead, train, and develop associates and team leads to achieve performance goals. Monitor production and quality control metrics; identify issues and implement solutions. Organize workflows, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate inventory management. Enforce safety and compliance standards throughout the shift. Communicate policies, procedures, and updates between employees and management. Perform quality checks and assist with pick, pack, and ship operations as needed. Drive continuous improvement to optimize workflow and increase efficiency. What Success Looks Like in This Role Your team consistently meets or exceeds productivity and accuracy goals. Inventory is replenished correctly, with minimal discrepancies. Employees are engaged, motivated, and clearly understand expectations. Safety standards are followed daily, resulting in zero incidents. Communication flows smoothly between associates, team leads, and management. Workflow improvements are identified and implemented to boost efficiency. You're seen as a reliable, approachable leader who drives both performance and teamwork. What You'll Need To Succeed High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of warehouse supervision experience with demonstrated experience overseeing shipping operations. Previous experience in a shipping, distribution, or warehouse environment. Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn warehouse management systems. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills. Effective communicator, able to present and explain information clearly. Decisive and proactive in resolving challenges. Preferred Experience Some college coursework or a degree preferred. Forklift and turret truck/stock picker experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable being on your feet 90% of the shift (walking, standing, bending, lifting). Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, or holidays if required.
