Job Description

Job Summary:
The Dock Coordinator plays a key role in preparing shipments for delivery to customer locations. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of outbound orders by working collaboratively with other dock team members. Responsibilities include verifying that all customer orders are complete, weighing carts, entering shipment data into the system, and manually loading carts onto delivery trucks. The Dock Coordinator supports smooth dock operations and helps maintain a safe, organized, and timely shipping process.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Dock Coordinator works as part of a collaborative team, with each member responsible for key tasks that support the dock's day-to-day operations. During a given shift, the Dock Coordinator may be responsible for some or all the following: Transporting loading carts to and from the weighing station. Verifying packing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. Weighing carts and accurately entering weight data into the system. Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Removing and replacing carts at the dump station as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/A Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus. 2+ years of experience in warehouse, dock operations, industrial laundry, manufacturing, or logistics preferred. Familiarity with RFID scanning systems and basic data entry. Ability to accurately complete and manage consignment notes and shipping documentation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented mindset. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, pushing/pulling carts, and lifting materials. Forklift certification is preferred (or required, depending on company policy).
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends (Saturday/Sunday) as needed. Previous experience in a plant or industrial production environment. Prior employment with Century Linen is a plus. Strong teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate closely with team members.
