Job Description

Summary:
Our Working Shift Leader trains and leads associates to perform a variety of tasks (checking in soiled garments, rolling/hoisting mats, cleaning, towel folding, wash aisle, etc.) that allow for the ability to produce clean products ready for delivery & valued by our customers while meeting production goals. The Working Shift Lead is expected to be proficient and able to perform all duties assigned on their designated shift to assist wherever necessary and provide adequate training as needed. Standard hours are Monday-Friday from 3pm-11:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Responsibilities:
Work as a member of the team to attain the set objectives & complete required daily tasks. Responsible for managing and directing all production activities on designated shift. This includes the coordination of production activities with the stockroom department and route service department. Assists with the training and development of personnel. Monitors the standards of performance for the purpose of aiding departments in the attainment of their own objectives. Ensures that quality is always maintained and reports findings for resource assignment and resolution on all quality issues. Monitors overtime to assure only necessary and approved time, completes various production reports and approves overtime, if required. Assists with associate questions, resolves concerns, assists plant manager with performance evaluations, discipline and assumes overall responsibility for maintaining positive associate relations within operations. Upholds the company's philosophy, and the image of the company in the view of the associates, customers, and general public. Maintains and provides status updates to the Plant Manager as it relates to customer information, materials inventory, labor, materials, and processing costs. Coordinates customer shipments and resolves any applicable concerns or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Responsible for a clean and safe environment and ensures all safety rules are followed.
Job Specifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer knowledge and aptitude. Excellent project management abilities, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of company practices, procedures, rules, and policies. Ability to lead, guide and motivate others. Must be detail oriented and follow specific instructions on the truck loading to assure the RSRs have their truck(s) laid out properly. Reliability is critical and must be willing and able to work overtime both before and after the start of the shift as necessary. Opportunities for advancement into supervision.
