Warehouse Lead The Signal Group LLC Novi, MI Job Details 12 hours ago Qualifications Lift truck Managing teams in warehouse setting Shipping and receiving inventory management Warehouse experience Computer skills Teaching Training delivery Data analysis software Full Job Description Warehouse Lead will support the standard functions and processes of the warehouse including effective delivery and fulfillment of orders, receiving, inventory management, and the return of product. They are also responsible for supporting the training and improvement of warehouse staff and resolving customer issues. The Warehouse Lead will work proactively and collaboratively with the Vice President of Operations and other departments. This role is also responsible for meeting company standards for productivity, product knowledge, resourcefulness, and being solution driven.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and execute daily warehouse shipping areas that include fulfilling and shipping customer orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments, documentation, and the shipping process. Ensure products are shipped promptly and accurately and support other warehouse staff to do the same. Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Support training for new warehouse staff. Execute the inventory control process and the receiving process. Monitor inventory levels and conduct cycle counts as needed. Oversee returns throughout the lifecycle of the process and ensure each stage is handled promptly. Continuously maintain a safe and clean work environment. Communicate with VP of Operations when opportunities for warehouse improvement are recognized. Utilize reporting tools and resources to manage shipping and inventory efficiencies. Support the creation of processes and documentation for systems affecting warehouse operations. 80% Rock completion rate. Other projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
Strong communication skills both oral and written Strong data analysis skills utilizing available tools to support the data Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenging circumstances Strategic thinking and planning skills Ability to multi-task when under pressure Strong knowledge of warehouse activities Ability to teach and train warehouse employees Proficient using a personal computer, warehouse software and proprietary software Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Knowledge of NetSuite preferred Knowledge of EOS preferred
Education and Experience:
3+ years of experience shipping and receiving in a warehouse setting NetSuite experience is a plus Certificates and/or Licenses Certification to drive hi-lo (on the job certification is available) Certification to ship Hazmat preferred
Physical or Other Requirements:
A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting Pushing and pulling inventory from shelves Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds Climbing ladders Usage of pallet jacks throughout the day as needed.
