Full-Time Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily logistics, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong experience managing teams in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop shipping, receiving, logistics, and warehouse personnel. Manage staffing schedules, attendance, overtime, and workforce planning. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and employee development activities. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to team members and supervisors. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials and products. Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and other departments to maintain effective workflow and inventory control. Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service levels. Review reports, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Investigate and resolve operational, inventory, quality, and customer service issues. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Support continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing and operational excellence programs. Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of workplace safety. Assist with departmental budget planning, goal setting, and performance tracking. Respond effectively to changing business demands and operational challenges. Perform additional duties as assigned. Balances business needs while maintaining operational stability. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising within a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Previous experience overseeing shipping, receiving, inventory control, or supply chain operations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, 6S, or similar methodologies. Strong employee development and team-building experience. Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus. Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements, productivity gains, and cost reductions.
Pay Details:
