Job Description
Shift Manager - Night Shift Full-Time Leadership Opportunity $21.21 per Hour Night Shift | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Rotating 12-Hour Schedule Are you a hands-on leader with strong operations, safety, and employee management experience? We are seeking a Shift Manager to oversee production support operations, lead frontline teams, and ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. This position serves as the primary leader for a rotating shift team, acting as a key liaison between employees, client leadership, and onsite management. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and excels at leading people, managing operations, and driving results. What You'll Do Team Leadership & Shift Coordination Lead and motivate shift personnel to achieve production, quality, and safety goals Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to Team Leaders and associates Maintain effective communication between employees, management, and customer stakeholders Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and production support coverage throughout the shift Make operational decisions in the absence of onsite leadership Conduct regular floor walks and actively manage operations through visibility and engagement Operational Oversight Monitor plant-wide production support activities to ensure operational efficiency Ensure staffing is aligned to business demands and customer needs Investigate production interruptions and work to quickly resolve operational issues Review shift reports, operational updates, and staffing needs at shift transitions Safety Leadership Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example Conduct facility safety audits and inspections Respond to and document safety incidents and near misses Serve as a First Aid Responder and support emergency response activities Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, PPE requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Provide coaching and immediate feedback on unsafe behaviors and conditions Training & Employee Development Ensure all employees are properly trained before working independently Monitor training compliance and maintain training documentation Support onboarding and development of new associates Coach Team Leaders on employee development, performance management, and policy enforcement Conduct performance discussions and attendance counseling as needed Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer standards Monitor quality audits and manufacturing practices Verify proper execution of operational processes and standard work Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Experience working with safety programs and operational compliance requirements Ability to lead and motivate teams in a results-driven environment Preferred Manufacturing or production operations experience Safety audit and incident investigation experience Experience managing attendance, staffing, and workforce planning Knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and operational best practices What We're Looking For Strong Leadership Skills Employee Coaching & Development Experience Operational Management Expertise Safety-Focused Mindset Excellent Communication Skills Decision-Making & Problem-Solving Ability Accountability & Professionalism Customer Service Orientation Team Building & Collaboration Skills Why Join Us?
