Serving over 1,020 individuals and families annually through multiple residential sites and rapid re-housing services, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in our community. Overview We are seeking a proactive and energetic Dock Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations at our thrift stores. This vital role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and leading a team to ensure efficient warehouse distribution. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and expertise in logistics to support our mission of transforming lives through effective housing solutions. Duties Supervise daily dock operations, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling processes. Lead and manage thrift dock staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety and efficiency. Oversee inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ThriftCart platforms to maintain accurate stock levels. Excellent customer service and the ability to train and coach others in conveying that same excellence Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL (third-party logistics) partners to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse workflows, reduce errors, and enhance safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards. Conduct regular inventory control audits, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies promptly. Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting and materials handling tasks. Experience Proven experience as a Dock or Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse retail management role within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse distribution practices. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Mechanical aptitude with forklift certification preferred; experience with heavy lifting required. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
