Job Description

We're looking for a Warehouse Lead II to join our Louisiana, Missouri distribution team. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys motivating others, solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring operational excellence. You'll play a critical role in driving productivity, quality, and safety while helping your team succeed every day. What You'll Do As a Lead 2, you'll serve as a working leader, partnering with supervisors and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations while helping develop and coach your teammates. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support team members to achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals Monitor daily performance, provide real-time feedback, and help contributors develop their skills Ensure all warehouse activities are completed accurately and efficiently, including picking, packing, audits, material handling, and inventory-related processes Drive a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with company policies Track operational performance metrics and take action to address issues and improve results Conduct quality checks and help prevent defects before they impact customers Coordinate workflow and job staging activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency Cross-train team members and serve as a subject matter expert across multiple operational functions Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity and service levels Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to area performance Operate material handling equipment as needed to support business demands Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment What Makes You Successful You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping others succeed, and aren't afraid to jump in wherever needed. Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to communicate effectively with both frontline team members and leadership Experience monitoring production or operational metrics Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and warehouse management or ERP systems Forklift and material handling equipment experience preferred Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing business needs Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence Physical Requirements Ability to lift, move, and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels Ability to work overtime as needed to support operational requirements Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Previous warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or operations experience preferred Leadership or team lead experience is highly desirable Why Join Dorman?
