Full Job Description Summary :
The Supervisor Receiving Warehouse is responsible for supervising all salary and hourly warehouse staff assigned to the shifts, including assigning daily job tasks. Responsible for coordinating deliveries for unloading in order of priority and properly placed in the warehouse. Performs a variety of office functions related to receiving & shipping. Responsible for checking all orders before bills of lading are signed or before any freight is loaded on to the trailer. Performs duties of workers supervised. Oversee the verification procedures and continuous cycle counts, research and analyze all data available to assist management in maintaining accurate inventories and developing proper inventory and storage procedures. When discrepancies are found, analyzes for origin and presents discrepancies and proposed solutions to management. Assists with auditing the inventory adjustments and determining areas of inefficiency in training/operations. Requires excellent knowledge of the entire warehouse SOPs', efficiency in computer operations, and effective written and oral communicate skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development of warehouse plan for process flow, providing expert advice and driving performance improvement Facilitate daily warehouse meetings; prepare operational schedules and coordinate warehousing activities; assure all components are available; make necessary changes in the event of a breakdown in component delivery; resolve warehouse schedules and problems. Hire, supervise, and direct warehouse personnel; optimize employee productivity; set priorities, design workflow, communicate objectives, and monitor performance. Coordinate daily with temporary employee agencies and schedules the temporary support as required. Identify needs and requirements for inclusion in the warehouse budget. Performs all activities of workers supervised, including receiving materials, shipping finished goods, completing all necessary documentation, etc. Coordinate with Supervisors and or Leads of preceding and proceeding shifts to ensure accurate understanding and communication of issues, including current status of all incoming/outgoing loads in process. Communicate effectively and coordinate with other departments as appropriate, to resolve inaccurate information on inventory status by utilizing specified reports, confirm inventory accuracy prior to production runs. Coordinates all activities of salary and hourly employees on each shift. Assigns workers' tasks, ensuring they understand what is required for each work shift and when they are required to be present. Provide workers with appropriate coaching, training, and tools to perform their jobs successfully. Provides constructive feedback when necessary, for improvement. Assists workers in resolving problems. Ensures that associates are meeting established productivity goals, safely and accurately Ensures the warehouse is clean and pallets put back in proper locations prior to completing the shift. Assists in researching, suggesting solutions and correcting internal problems with relocation, damage, losses, and warehouse transfers to include the research and documentation of all inventory related issues to provide an audit trail of problem areas and trends, reports problems/discrepancies to management. Supervises and direct verifications of inventory received or FG packed for shipment to determine accuracy, validate procedures, and validate proper training of warehouse personnel. Supervisor audits cycle counts for bin location accuracy to correct inventory discrepancies. Assists with auditing the inventory adjustments and determining areas of inefficiency in training/operations. Make adjustments within SAP as necessary, assuring accuracy and timeliness. Keeps others informed of changes made. Assists in reconciliation of materials for consistent accuracy within SAP. Identify, evaluate continuous improvement opportunities then successfully implement through consistent collaboration with key stakeholders within the operation / business. Ability to work on any shift and weekend shifts if needed. All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Education Requirements:
Two (2) years college in a related material handling discipline or equivalent experience in the field of material handling.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years direct supervisory experience. Minimum of five to seven years forklift operator experience in a warehouse, including a minimum of three years supervisory experience with inventory control experience.
Competencies:
Must be able to calculate gains/losses and convert units of measure. Must have familiarity with computers and ability to train for usage of the MRP. Requires demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to read and understand instructions, write, add and subtract. Sound analytical ability to compute inventory level, perform cycle counts, and analyze computer data to ascertain cause and effect of inventory discrepancies. Excellent interpersonal skills to interface across the entire company. Must have knowledge of and proficiency with SAP material resource planning system.

Worker exposed to temperatures significantly high or low to cause marked bodily discomfort. Worker exposed to physical conditions such as moving mechanical parts, working on ladders, and high places. Warehouse conditions include temperatures ranging from the 30's (typically 40 degrees in cold weather conditions, with appropriate clothing provided) to the 90's (in hot weather conditions). Estimate time exposure to warehouse condition up to 30%.

Sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, and hearing. Lifting cartons up to 30 lbs. by hand and moving pallets of products weighing up to 2000 lbs. with a forklift. Climbing ladders to cycle count if needed.
